Lifeboat Ethics- Kayla

What would you do? Why?
As judgmental as it sounds, I would choose people based on their appearance. I'd choose the people who look most able (physically and mentally) to succeed, like younger and stronger men and women. Also, I would most likely choose about 4 male, and 6 female. If there were people of different race (African American, Hispanics, etc.) I would take at least one of each, so as to keep that ethnicity alive.

What would you tell the people who you didn't choose?
Unfortunately, we can't take everyone. I would probably be too ashamed to say anything to anyone, but hopefully they would see my reasoning to take younger people who have years ahead of them for a future of humanity. It's nothing personal against people who are old, and I'm not saying one person should have the right to decide the value of one's life over another, but we all will die eventually. I'm just choosing the ones who have longer to flourish, live life, and become of use to society.
