People from minorities would be the first to be chosen in my boat. It is important to have diversity, and only having the majority would not provide for a mixed population. The ratio of male-to-female would be 1:1 (therefore 5 males and 5 females out of a pool of 10,) and I would tell the people in the water that I am sorry to exclude them but that sometimes life is not fair and it has a way of controlling population naturally.
